Lagos SARS killing: Kolade’s mum last message to him

“May Almighty God clothe your days with favour and divine upliftment now and beyond. May he be your shield and protect all that he has given to you. God will mark you and your family out of danger and untimely death. You will enjoy the full benefit of God. You will never sow your seeds for birds to eat. These are the words of Mrs Olufunke Odebiyi, mother of Kolade Johnson, who was killed by operatives of the Special Anti-Cultism Squad of the Lagos State Police Command in Lagos on Sunday.
Unfortunately, she sent the text message on Monday morning, not knowing that the cherished fruit of her womb had been killed the previous evening.
Kolade’s stepbrother, Boluwade Aawakan, revealed this to ‘The Punch’ in an interview in which he gave details of how he was shot dead by an operative of the anti-robbery squad, SARS.
