The Presidency has said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s trip to the United Kingdom is a private one not medical.
The government said this in response to the reaction of some people who said Buhari was on a medical trip and not what the government said.
In an interview on Channels Television, Special Adviser to the President on Media, Mr Femi Adesina, explained that his boss was on a private trip, though those who wanted to interpret it otherwise could co ahead.
He said, “Those who want to believe should just believe it is a private trip. Those who want to say it is a medical trip, they should.”
Adesina noted that during the campaign, the President campaigned vigorously across the country.
According to him, he had been working tw months after the election.
If he thus decided to go on a private visit then, he had all the reason to do so.
