Nigeria’s film industry has another sad development to grapple with as actor Linchung Duke Oliver has died.
The actor who acted as Silvanus in the sitcom, Dogood, died in a car crash while he was on his back from his mother’s burial last week.
Breaking the sad news, actor and master of ceremonies, Basorge Tariah Jr., said, ‘My heart is so so heavy right now. I am in a dark and painful place. Tragedy is a euphemism. We just lost SILVANUS of DOGOOD. My dear brother was returning from the burial of his mother when death added my friend to his mean account. RIP. These Tears won’t stop flowing’.
Basorge added that, ‘I am so speechless and so sad. You were such a lovely soul. You smiled, you played and never complained. You have left a vacuum that most of the world cannot fill. I will miss so much, it burns my heart. Sleep! Sleep great and awesome Talent’.
As ‘Africa Magic’ notes in his profile on ‘Hustle’, Oliver Duke studied Business Administration at the Kwara State Polytechnic. He was an OAP with Raypower before he pursued his childhood love for acting.
He plays the role of SYLVANUS in the DoGood series. Sylvanus is a businessman who has a sizeable love for both money and Adaku.
