Governorship/Assembly elections: Buhari, wife, vote in Daura

President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife, Aisha, have voted in the governorship election.

They arrived at polling unit 003 Kofar Baru III, Gidan Niyam, Daura, Katsina State.

The News Agency of Nigeria  reports that the president and his wife were cleared and issued ballot papers by the unit presiding officer, Aliyu Abdullahi.

They voted at exactly 8.08 a.m. to elect their preferred candidates for Katsina State governorship and House of Assembly legislators.

The duo had performed similar civic responsibility during the Feb. 23 Presidential and National elections at the same polling unit.

Unlike the drama acted by Buhari during the presidential election, however, when he apparently peeped at who Aisha was voting for between him and his opponent Atiku Abubakar, the today’s exercise largely unfolded formerly though Buhari received the usual  charming cheers.
