Lionel Messi Lionel Messi has praised Cristiano Ronaldo for his outstanding hat-trick performance against Atletico Madrid, calling him ‘Magical’ after his own superb display against Lyon on Wednesday night.
“I thought that what happened with Cristiano and Juventus was incredible. I thought maybe Atletico would be stronger, but Juventus overwhelmed them and Cristiano had a ‘magical’ night with three goals,” Messi said.
Ronaldo equalled Messi’s Champions League hat-trick record with his performance
in Juventus 3-0 victory over Atletico on Tuesday.
