Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, has said that he is focusing on Saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly election rather than the suspension slammed on him on Friday by the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress.
He declined comment in Abuja on Sunday when journalists asked for it, saying the goal he had his eyes on was the coming election.
He said this after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari whom, he said, he was in the Aso Villa to congratulate on his victory at the February 23 election.
He said, “We are all happy. We are in a happy mood. He has been reelected to continue his good work.”
On the suspension, Amosun noted, “My comment will be ‘No comment.’ When you want to achieve a purpose, you put your eyes on the ball. I thank those who came out to vote for me last Saturday. We are concentrating on the campaign now. There will be time to talk after the election? I really cannot wait for all of you to come out and wait on Saturday.”
