Veteran footballer, Según Odegbami, received a mild ovation at the Ogun State collation centre in Abeokuta early Sunday when the result of the governorship election was being announced.
Dapo Abiodun of the APC carried the day with 241, 670, followed by APM’s Adekunle Akinlade, who got 221, 153.
Odegbami, who contested on the platform of the Zenith Labour Party, however got 616.
As his vote was being announced, a segment of the crowd laughed and ‘cheered’ him, mischievously saying, “It is a goal!”
