Friends of a popular bright Nigerian academic, writer and critic are currently facing choking anxiety as he was said to be among the 149 passengers of the Ethiopian Airline that crashed today.
None of the passengers and the eight crew members on board survived.
A tweet being circulated gave the indication of the loss of the academic.
Till this evening, Adesanmi’s friends and associates that include Odia Ofeimun and jahman Anikulapo struggled to ascertain the real situation.
But reports later said Adesanmi travelled with a Canadian passport and was among the victims.
With his passage, Nigeria has lost one of its brightest minds as Adesanmi, who was an inspiring columnist, boasted an incisive perspective on almost every issue.
