Breaking: PDP’s Emeka Ihedioha declared winner in Imo

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the governorship election in Imo State, Ikedioha Emeka , has been declared winner.
He secured 273, 404 votes to beat Action Alliance’s candidate Uche Nwosu who got 190, 364.
Imo’s collation has been one of the most dragged, with the process getting deadlocked at a point.
But the Returning Officer, Francis Otunta, who seemed to wield a spartan style of control, saw the process through and finally declared the PDP’s candidate the winner.
The All Progressives Grand Alliance candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, polled 114,676 followed by the All Progressives Congress candidate, Senator Hope Uzodimma, who scored 96,458 votes.
The Accord Party candidate, Ikedi Ohakim secured 6,864 votes.
