The Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday gave the Independent National Electoral Commission the order to conclude the collation of the results of the March 9, 2019 governorship election in Bauchi State.
Justice Inyang Ekwo set aside his earlier order of March 19, 2019, which stopped the collation of the results.
“There is no legal impediment before the defendant to go on with the decision of the defendant to execute its decision in its press release,” the judge said.
The case was filed by the All Progressives Congress and its candidate in the governorship election in the state, Governor Mohammed Abubakar.
With this, the PDP candidate is as good as having won the governorship election as he got the highest number of votes after the supplementary election results were collated.
