Kano State appears to be the one generating the greatest anxiety especially for politicians in the two leading parties – APC and PDP.
The suspension of the process there had raised more than eyebrows especially as the opposition is PDP is leading based on the result so far released.
Now, the election has been declared inconclusive, meaning that many are going to be facing their longest nights from now.
No party will like to lose a state as strategic as Kano, as the votes it boasts can be larger than even those some five states put together.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled a total of 1,014,353 votes ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which secured 953,522 votes in the governorship election of Kano state.
The controversy which broke out in Nasarawa local government area of the state delayed the collation by many hours.

Nasiru Gawuna, deputy governor of the state, was arrested for allegedly tearing result sheet of the local government area.

At the end of the collation, the PDP won the local government, polling 54,349 votes to defeat APC which secured 34,297 votes.
