Beware of online canvassers, NYSC tells prospective members

As the National Youths Service Corps begin the process of mobilising another batch of corps members, it has urged prospective members not to offer money to anyone as the process is free.
The NYSC said in a statement on Friday, warnin them against antics of what it called “online canvassers who demand money or any other forms of gratification to facilitate any service”.
It also said the registration portal that opened on March 4 would close on March 19.
“Consequently, prospective corps members are expected to register within this window for the purpose of mobilisation for the forthcoming orientation programme.
“Prospective members should on no account allow registration by proxy or a third party biometric or any other form of registration,” the NYSC said.
