President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated his commitment to fighting looters.
This was the thrust of his speech at a mega rally his All Progressives Congress held in Lagos on Saturday.
According to him, his government has made tremendous progress on the basis of the promises it made in 2015.
He, however, gave the indication that the fight against corruption will preoccupy his administration if reelected.
He said, “I assure you, whoever is entrusted (with public property), his primary responsibility is to account for it. If the proper thing is not done, we will eventually get hold of them; take away what they have stolen and get them imprisoned. This is our duty; this is our responsibility and I assure you we will continue to do it.”
