Rivers State Governor, Nyeson Wike, has said that some solders planned to assassinate him today (Friday)..
He said when he was in his car on his way to an assignment, he realised that some soldiers were trailing him.
According to him, a particular officer involved might t be interested in killing him because he wanted to become the chief of staff.
He thus warned that a soldier need not engage in killings before he could become a chief of staff.
The Nigerian Army has, however, dismissed the allegation, saying it was for peace and protection of everyone.
