The Peoples Democratic Party defeated the All Progressives Congress in Ade North Local Government Area in yesterday’s election.
Ede is the home of the Adeleke family who are very strong in the PDP, with the late Isiaka Adeleke, aka Serubawon, being very popular in the town.
Collation Officer, Mr Timothy Alabi, Obafemi Awolowo University, said this at the venue of result declaration, INEC Headquarters, Osogbo, Osun State.

Accredited voters: 29,352
Valid votes: 28,488
APC: 10,739
PDP: 16,675
Rejected votes: 851
Total votes cast: 29,339
Cancelled votes: 234
Affected area: Bara-Ejemu, Ward 11, Unit 7
