Man U academy former coach, Eric Harrison, dies at 81


Former Manchester United youth team manager, Eric Harrison, has died at the age of 81.
He had earlier been diagnosed with mixed dementia.

The United icon passed away peacefully on Wednesday night February 13,2019, while surrounded by his family.

Harrison was in charge of Manchester United’s academy when it produced the famous Class of ’92, which included Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, David Beckham and Gary Neville.

During his career as an academy coach he was awarded an MBE for his services to football in the Queen’s New Year Honours list in 2018.
Manchester United have offered their condolences to Harrison’s family:

“We are extremely saddened to report that our former youth coach Eric Harrison passed away last night, our thoughts and prayers go out to Eric’s family and friends at this sad and difficult time.”
