The cancellation of over 900,000 votes in Rivers State, due to violence, has generated heated argument at the national collation centre in Abuja.
According to the report from Rivers, violence prevented voting from taking place in some local governments while collation could not be done in other due to the same reason.
APC’s spokesman, Festus Keyamo, sparked the controversy when he alleged that some 72,000 of the cancelled votes belonged to the party.
Final decision on the matter is expected after a meeting the INEC leadership is set to have on it.
