Buhari to query INEC chairman after elections
President Muhammadu Buhari has given the indication that he will query the Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission, Mahmood Yakubu, at the end of the elections, over INEC’s inability to conduct the presidential election on Saturday, February 16 as initially scheduled.
Buhari, on Monday, described the decision of INEC to postpone the election to February 23 as demonstrating incompetence, insisting that the leadership of INEC has a question to answer.
Speaking during the caucus meeting of the All Progressives Congress in Abuja, Buhari said, “It is incompetence. After the election, they have to explain.”
