There seems to be more trouble for the Independent Electoral Commission as a container laden with card readers meant for February 16 presidential poll is said to be on fire in Awka, Anambra State.
This is coming a few days after one of its offices in Plateau State got burnt – with a report that it was set ablaze by a drunk man.
According a story in ‘The Cable’, the Awka incident sparked confusion as INEC officials preparing for the election scuttled to safety.
It adds that the cause of the fire outbreak had not been ascertained as of the time of filing this report.
