A 27-year-old mechanic, Ibrahim Omotosho, is now in a big trouble for allegedly stealing a tricycle worth N750,000.
He was, on Wednesday, brought before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court, according to ‘The Nation’.
Omotosho lives at Abattoir, Fagba, Lagos, is being tried for conspiracy and stealing.
Noting the case will continue on February 5, the paper continued in a report on Thursday, “Prosecuting Inspector Raji Akeem had told the court that Omotosho and others at large stole the tricycle overnight, from where it was kept at Toyin Street, Ikeja, last December 23.
“He said the tricycle belonged to Mr. Emeka Onyenjo. Akeem said the tricycle was recovered through a tracker and the accused was arrested.
Although the accused pleaded not guilty, Section 287 prescribes three years jail term for offender.
Magistrate Mrs. Jadesola Adeyemi-Ajayi granted the accused N200,000 bail with two sureties in the like sum.
