Egypt will host this year’s Nations Cup.
The Confederation of African Football announced this on Tuesday.
South Africa was beaten to the hosting right by Egypt in a vote held at a CAF Executive Committee meeting in Senegal.
Cameroon, which should have hosted the competition, was stripped of hosting the tournament in November due to slow preparations.
Egypt, which will host the tournament for a record of fifth time, has just six months to prepare for the tournament, which will kick off during the summer.
