Nigerians have been reacting to the withdrawal of a former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, from the presidential race.
She announced her withdrawal from the race this morning, saying she wanted to join coalition forces to battle ruling All Progressives Congress and leading opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party.
This happened six days after she gave an excellent performance during the presidential debate boycotted by President Muhammadu Buhari and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, of APC and PDP respectively.
Among other dignitaries who believe Ezekwesili is a good material for the post, Pastor of Latter Rain Assembly, on Sunday described her as the best alternative to Buhari and Atiku.
In various reactions after her resignation this morning, her admirers saluted her for the efforts she has made while others expressed sadness – and some scorn.
