Although Ogun State Governor, Seniator Ibikunle Amosun, has assured President Muhammadu Buhari that he and his supporters will vote for him, there is something he doesn’t want from the Federal Government: deployment of soldiers.
He said again on January 1 that the All Progressives Congress would lose the governorship election in the state, giving it to his anointed Adekunle Akinlade of the Allied Peoples Movement.

He, however, advised the FG Amosun against deploying soldiers to the state for the polls, even as he assured that the elections would be free of violence in the state.
Analysts have noted that Amosun might provide Buhari with a dilemma over his stance against the APC candidate, Dapo Abiodun, when it comes to mapping out logistics for the election.
