Veteran lawyer, Femi Falana, has suggested a way out of the controversy created by the suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnaghen.
According to him, President Muhammadu Buhari should lift the suspension on him while he too should do the needful by resigning.
According to Falana, who spoke during an interview on ‘Channels Television’, the President must do so because the suspension did not fulfil due process since the National Judicial Council had not considered the matter before he took the action.
But the Senior Advocate of Nigeria argued that the allegations against Onnoghen were weighty, adding that since he had admitted that he did not declare the assets in question, the honourable thing for him was to resign.
