President Muhammadu Buhari has said that neither the Economic and Financial Crime Commission nor any other anti-corruption agency should wait for his body language before they can act on corruption cases before them.
According to him, he does not interfere with their activity as he likes to follow due process.
He said this during an interview with ‘Arise TV’.
The President, answering a question on whether or not he asked the EFCC to stop probing Senator Goodwill Akpabio for suspected N100bn, since he is now in the ruling part APC, said he never had any deal like that with him.
He said, “ I don’t think Akpabio, when he moved to the APC, that I said he should be left alone. I cannot remember asking the EFCC, the ICPC, the police or anybody to spare any corrupt person or incompetent person. I haven’t done it and I challenge you to expose any.”
