The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, on Tuesday continued to engage the All Progressives Congress leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, in a war of words.

He likened him to the Egyptian’s Pharaoh who he wants to free his people.

Agbaje noted in a statement that Lagosians were more or less in APC’s Egypt and it was time the party let them off.

He said, “Pharaoh, you must let our people go!” Agbaje said. Apparently, the APC leader has lost touch with reality. Otherwise, he would know that, like the children of Israel, Lagosians are groaning under the taskmaster that Tinubu and his cronies have turned themselves into in this state that should rate as Nigeria’s foremost,” he added.

In the statement signed by Agbaje’s Director of Media and Publicity, Felix Oboagwina,  he said that his campaign slogan reflected the same spirit that moved Nelson Mandela to declare his long walk to freedom in an apartheid South Africa.
