Four people met an untimely death on Monday when a tyre of a Lagos to Benin bus burst, forcing it to summersault repeatedly.
A report in ‘The Punch’ said the accident occurred
Benin-Lagos Expressway at Omotoso town in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State on Monday.
The bus with registration number MNY 406 XA was carrying eight passengers, four of whom died while others sustained injuries.
The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in the state, Mr. Rotimi Adeleye, was said to have confirmed the accident.
“The accident was as a result of speeding. That is why we are appealing to the drivers to mind their speed while traveling, if the speed was not much, the impact of the accident would not have been much,” he said.
