Many operators in the transport sector, especially road section, are
currently more than jittery as the Lagos State Government is set to
unleash many blue buses on the city.
Encouraged by the success of its reformed BRT long buses and the need
to sanitise the sector, the government had, last year, unveiled plan
to replace the notorious yellow buses with the blue rides.
This is scaring investors in the yellow tradition as they feared that
their buses may go the way of molues, which have been effectively
chased out of circulation.
PHENOMENAL LAGOS observed that a good number of the operators are
hesitant to buy new buses as they await the way he blue bus tide will
be.
Besides, more white and yellow buses are being offered for sale in
different parts of the city.
