LTV gains big from One Lagos Fiesta

The 2017 edition of the One Lagos Fiesta has come and gone, but its echo is still lingering.

The concert, arguably the biggest on the continent, paraded the biggest and the most promising emerging acts in the five divisions of the state, making it the first state-created and state-powered show with such audacious fervor.

From pop and hip stars such as Tuface, Olamide, Davido, D’Banj to traditionalists such as Adewale Ayuba, Saheed Osupa, Alabi Pasuma, down to old-wines-are tasty like King Sunny Ade and Shina Peters, all the artistes soared on the largesse, with major sponsors also coming to partner with the Akinwunmi Ambode administration.

In effect, One Lagos kept the city dancing like a moth for eight days.

While the OLF t benefitted many, there is an institution that is particularly the most blessed for it. That is the Lagos State Television that aired many of the shows live. The station became the centre of attraction for millions of viewers who decided to watch the shows from home. In the process, the station has gained more eyes, many of which are likely to continue to stay with it.
