We are not sure if the idiom, ‘cattle with nine lives’ fits the medical doctor called Leke Pitan. But he is definitely one of the guys that the current political dispensation and establishment not only discovered, but has also showered unending blessing upon.
Since the time of the political Jagaban of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Pitan has been a commissioner almost back to back or back to front. He was the health commissioner with Tinubu. He served under Fashola. Yet, some 19 years after, the man who was part of the machinery that conquered Ebola is still in the saddle as the health commissioner under Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
